Plant Container Watering
- Chicago summers can be extremely hot and schedules are filled with family activities. If you have flower plantings that need regular watering, we are happy to add‑on that service when we are at your home to visit with your companion.
- $5 - $7 per watering when combined with a standard mid‑day visit.
- A Walk in the Park is also available for plant watering as a single‑service option starting at $19 per visit.
House Sitting
- A Walk in the Park is able to provide care for your home while you are away in the capacity that you choose. We can stop by daily for a quick check on your house. We can also spend the night to give your home a truly lived-in appearance. A Walk in the Park is happy to provide whatever will give you peace of mind so you can focus on your vacation or business travels. Rates start at $19 per weekday visit.
Wild Bird Care
- Often in our busy days it is easy to forget about the birds that offer us a little peace and calm. With typical work and school schedules, feeders are filled intermittently and baths become stagnant. Let A Walk in the Park help keep your backyard a bird’s paradise while you travel or on a regular basis.
- Regular visits start at $13 (weekday).
- Vacation care starts at $18 per weekday visit.
Terms & Conditions
- Rates are for services provided during regular office hours of Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Surcharges apply for visits outside these hours.
- For service on major holidays, all stated rates will double (New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
- Service during extreme weather conditions, such as a blizzard, is charged at an hourly rate rather than a per-visit fee. Please contact us for these rates.
Payment
- Regular clients receive detailed invoices at the end of each month.
- Vacation clients are given a total and asked to leave payment before departing.
- Payments may be made with cash or personal check.
- Returned checks are subject to a processing fee.
